permanent resident

Vara is deciding on what date suits her best. With no regard to my emotional, physical or mental status. She likes it where she is, she has enough room to bust a rib or two now and then for me, and just seems to enjoy her life as is.
However, i am hopeful she will come before Thursday her due date... or actually MONDAY the 13th was her adjusted due date... but if not, then i go to the DR. thursday the 16th in the afternoon and we wait another week beyone that... being thanksgiving, and then they would discuss an induction date.... yippeeee.

SO... Vara James has decided to wait out her stay indefinately. NO effacement, no Dialation...I suck... or rather my body does not want to progress.

SO last night she freaked out in my belly, like she had a shot of sugar times ten!

Well, what happened? she turned OUT of position, and is now flip flopping around again as much as a large baby can. So i had to have an NST and she is fine, but she moved a lot on them so keeping track of her heart was difficult... she went from 130-170 often.

so... the latest i would deliver is 12 days past my due date... that is when they would induce me. so we are looking at the 28th! so i am just resigning myself to that date...

see you next friday doc....

Go to the dr tomorrow AM..... hopeful that something that I have been doing and or feeling will be a sign that I should go into labor soon. This is a lot harder than waiting for christmas morning or the night even before Todd and I were married. At least i knew what he looked like and when we were going to be able to see each other. Nala, our puppy seems to think she is the baby. Lately taking to sitting on my lap and anywhere near me she can be. I can't even use the bathroom with out her security detail.
Today she helped me prepare for motherhood by getting sick on the both the couch and the chair in about 20 seconds! I bet Vara will go to the time trials to try to break her record if she is anything like her daddy was. Pray for us, pray we can get through the next few weeks and come home with a healthy baby.
All of my internet friends have delivered... so alone online i just get to see their photos and hear the woes of the next level of being a mom. I will wait for God's time, as if i had a choice, and pray for health. Update after the dr. if there is anything cool to tell. e

37 weeks... and counting. Got to go to the dr. today and get poked and proded and we are in the right position, but not really doing anything to get her to come out yet! The latest she would be induced would be just about on thanksgiving! So we may be having a turkey, but i hope sooner, i really love that meal and would be so depressed to miss it, but knowing ms. vara's parents, she will come when she is good and ready. Heart beat is normal, i lost 3 lbs this week, and we are good to go at anytime as 37 weeks is officially full term.

the next generationYour baby is still putting on weight — about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds and is a little less than 19 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the creamy substance that has protected her skin during its submersion in amniotic fluid. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, and they'll stay in her bowels until birth. This blackish mixture, called meconium, will become her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Babies born between 37 and 42 weeks are considered full-term; a baby born before 37 weeks is pre-term and after 42 weeks is post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position by now, which is optimal for a smooth delivery, but if she isn't head-down next week, your provider may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to turn your baby manually, by pushing her from the outside of your belly.
